How to Pack Your Unit Like a Pro
16 Feb 2026

Packing a storage unit is a bit like playing a high-stakes game of Tetris. If you do it right, everything fits perfectly; if you do it wrong, you’re left with a precarious tower of boxes and a very frustrated moving day.
Heavy at the Bottom: Always place your heaviest boxes (books, tools, small appliances) at the base. This creates a stable foundation and prevents your fragile items from being crushed.
Uniformity is Your Friend: Whenever possible, use boxes of the same size. They stack easier, look cleaner, and maximize every vertical inch of your unit.
The "Vegas" Rule: What stays in the front stays accessible. Place items you might need soon—like seasonal clothes or holiday decor—near the door.
Fill the Gaps: Use soft items like blankets, pillows, or even bags of clothing to fill "dead space" between furniture. It adds extra padding and saves room.
